The brightly coloured Cape Daisy, also known as Spanish Daisy, has, within the space of just a few years, become one of the most popular bedding plants for pots or flower beds.
This is mainly because the flowers come in such a wide range of colours – white, yellow, orange, red, pink, violet and dark violet – thanks to extensive breeding work at Sunny ApS over the past 25 years.
You can always find a Cape Daisy in just the colour you are looking for.
The Cape Daisy is naturally widespread in sun-drenched South Africa.
The sun-loving Cape Daisy should therefore be planted in as bright a position as possible, ideally in direct sunlight. It will then delight you with its colourful daisy-like flowers until the frost sets in.
If you regularly remove any dead flowers throughout the summer, this will encourage the formation of new buds.
